4 Bedroom Cottage in Okanagan-Similkameen, Osoyoos

This yellow cottage is a few houses over from our red one (VRBO #555099). It has the same layout but with a 4th bathroom and larger deck!
Looking for peace and serenity without looking over at the rooftops of the neighbors? This gorgeous lake front home is located at the north end of Osoyoos Lake. The quiet area of the lake is a family friendly paradise for water sports and swimming! Of course, we are only minute’s away from Burrowing Owl and Black Hills Winery Estates if you like wine tasting!
If you are looking for excitement, then consider how close we are to the new Area 27 race track located in Oliver with 227 acres for motorsport enthusiasts! Area 27 Karting Centre has a world class facility guaranteed to get the adrenaline flowing.
In the summer, the local fruit stands and farmer's markets provide an opportunity to discover a wide variety of products including cherries, plums, peaches, apricots and nectarines. In the winter we are just 40 minutes from Mount Baldy Ski Area, and 1 ½ hours from Big White Ski Resort for all those riders that love powder snow!
Our two-level 2400 sq. ft. home is spacious enough to accommodate two families with room to spare. The spacious lay out gives water views from the living room, dining room, kitchen and three of its four bedrooms. With beautiful views of the mountains and lake, you can walk out onto an upper deck and lower patio to catch the rays of sun, or enjoy the stars at night.
A few steps down from the property takes you along a meandering path towards the dock, or to the 500 foot white sand beach, where you can enjoy an evening beach bonfire, play volleyball, or just watch the kids play in the sand. A clubhouse is shared amongst residents and visitors to this gated community, and includes 2 seasonal outdoor pools, 2 hot tubs, fitness centre and shared common room.
Upper Level: Great room, kitchen, dining area, deck, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and laundry room. Details:
- Huge master suite with 1 King bed, private 4 piece en suite, with spacious glass shower, separate bathtub, and double vanity. Lake view and TV in room. A view of the lake will brighten any morning
- Kids room with 1 single/double bunk bed and 1 single bed – sleeps 4
- Open concept great room with unobstructed views of the lake, double french doors leading out to a large partial covered deck
- The open concept kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and allows for meal time prep conversations with family in the great room or dining area. Enjoy indoor meals with friends and family at the large table that seats 8 comfortably, or 4 can sit at the kitchen’s granite island
- Partial covered deck with BBQ and patio set that seats 6 if you need shade
Lower Level: Entertainment area, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath. Details:
- Guest bedroom with 1 King bed plenty of windows to enjoy the view of the lake. 3 piece en suite, pull out twin couch and TV
- Guest room with 1 Queen bed with view of the lake
- 3 piece bath room
- Entertainment Area includes:
1. Pool table
2. Games area table for 4 with board games, cards, etc…
3. Large TV, with comfy seating for at least 6 people. Telus Optic TV
4. Double sized pull out couch for extra guests and pocket door for privacy
5. Double french doors lead you to the ground level covered patio with Adirondack style chairs for 5 with unobstructed views of the lake and a hammock for afternoon naps in the shade.
The internet connection is a fibre optic service dedicated to the property (wireless). Max occupants 12. Linens are provided. Please bring your own beach towels and toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc).

Summary: This is our second time as a family renting both houses from Mark and Tania. The view of the lake is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and the landscaping throughout the development is beautiful. We made good use of the play ground. The houses had plenty of room for 12 guests. The perfect place for family gatherings.

Summary: House was awesome, kitchen was especially well equipped for our non stop cooking and eating! Layout was great for our multi generational family. Deck was private and view was gorgeous. Summary: The place is big and spacious for family with 6 adults and two kids. Great location with a lot of beach toys. Pool table provided evening entertainment. Some appliances not working well. Check out cleaning procedures is a bit more than normally expected.

Summary: This is a beautiful cottage. The layout and location are excellent and it's really a lovely place to stay. Only issue we had was ants. Coming in from the garage and from under the front door seal. Also in the basement. The owner did tell me the previous people had complained about ants as well. There were traps out and some spray (which we didn't want to spray while we were in the home). I contacted the owner and it was suggested we purchase traps and then be reimbursed for them. Honestly when spending this kind of money on a vacation I would hope that the problem would have been rectified by the time we checked in. Also all of the upstairs windows had a ton of bugs in spider webs in the corners. There were liquid splashes of some sort down the wall by the patio doors and our socks when worn were pretty dirty the first day we arrived. I assume a cleaning company comes in and does the service, so I would maybe suggest a chat with them to address these areas. Overall we loved our stay. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean but floors/windows left a bit to be desired.

Summary: This was our first stay at The Cottages. Mark was attentive in communicating with us all along the way even when he himself was out of the country. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. Mark even arrived to see if we needed anything. The location is perfect for being close to the beach and a quick walk to the pool and gym. The facilities were great for our kids and grandkids. Everyone had a fantastic time. Thanks Mark and Tania. We really enjoyed our stay at your place.

Summary: This place has just about everything you need for a family vacation. Perfect spot, patios overlooking the lake, mountains and marina. It's a short walk to beach, marina and clubhouse. Plenty of extra parking nearby, lots of storage room and 2nd fridge in garage, great house layout with lots of living and lounging space, nice kitchen with plenty of extras. Great communication with Mark, the host, before and during trip. We had a minor issue with plumbing but he had a plumber there the same day I told him that came and fixed the issue. Thanks Mark for providing a great spot for families to make memories for life. Cheers

Summary: We loved our stay here! It was the perfect place to stay so that we could all be together in one place. We took advantage of the golf courses near by, the many wineries around, the pool and hot tub and even the lake. The top things we enjoyed about the Yellow Cottage were the view, the deck, the pool table and the many comfy bedrooms and ample bathrooms. The hosts were very responsive, communications were clear and easy to follow, and we felt that if we had needed to reach out for anything, which we didn’t, they would have been quick to help! We hope to be back!
